Swindle teams up with grime originator Ghetts for ‘Drill Work’. Swindle and Ghetts have a long studio history together, collaborating as far back as 2007 and more recently on 2016’s ‘Works Haffi Run’. The chemistry is shown on Drill Work as they cover new musical ground for both of them. This is Ghetts’ first track since releasing his critically acclaimed album ‘Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament’ in September.
Ghetts calls back to his home of East London, name checking its different neighbourhoods and speaking to the violence that can often threaten to rear its head. Swindle channels the lush musicality of horn and string sections in unexpected ways, turning them to express the esteemed producer’s unique musical worldview.
‘Drill Work’ is the third single from Swindle’s forthcoming project 'No More Normal', where he celebrates the different corners of the UK’s music scene in 2018, and this single follows the rapturous response to ‘Coming Home’, featuring Kojey Radical, and ‘Reach The Stars’ featuring Andrew Ashong.

Love the layering of dance hall mc samples on those persian strings, and anthemic spaghetti western score strumming, over that heavy groove. Just solid through & through. Melancholic nostalgic feel sounds sort of sad, sort of heavy perfect for late night cruising through parts unknown. sergentor

Absolutely convinced that when you listen to sounds of this extraordinary Album, you enter a new dimension. Deep dubstep & garage style with a little jazzy bass touch. jef37

Moresounds at the peak of his game. Modern jungle that doesn’t sound like an empty homage. Crisp amens, heavy bass, absolutely everything is in order here. 94 vibe, 2018 production. Dancefloor killer. Respect. Super Super Sounds
